Community Outreach Efforts
Due to COVID restrictions, the 2021 Huntington Beach Tax-Aide volunteers will start preparing tax returns on March 3, Wednesday, with appointments at 11 AM, 12 PM, 1 PM, and 2 PM. Appointments will also be available on Thursdays at 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM and 1 PM. The last Tax-Aide appointments will be on Thursday, April 15th.
Appointments may be made on-line starting on 1 February. Please check back for additional information. Appointments may be made via phone starting 8 February.
With the campus being closed due to the pandemic, our clever instructor Adrianna has taken Zumba classes to Zoom meetings. Each class has a unique link and time and the Tuesday evenings from 6 – 7 PM. Keep active with these programs which improve fitness; burn calories; improve balance; and, learn a few dance moves along the way. Click on a link and enjoy:

Zumba is a free fitness class designed for all ages, all levels and each class is completely filled with participants who enjoy fitness, fellowship and having a good time. Class is free but a $4 donation will support this outreach for a healthier community.

Balance & Stability
Adrianna, the instructor for Zumba Fitness, also has a certificate in Balance & Stability. This virtual class is sponsored by Scan Health and is offered at no charge on Saturday mornings at 11 AM. This class is normally held at the Landmark community center but has gone virtual due to the COVID pandemic. Food Distribution, Mobile Pantry
The Mobile Pantry provides fresh produce and other nutritious food directly to families and individuals in Orange County who struggle to make ends meet or have an unexpected need. The mobile pantry vehicle is a refrigerated beverage truck converted for use by Second Harvest. With each delivery the truck transports at least 5,000 pounds of fruit, vegetables and dry goods directly to the communities where low income individuals live. Supplying a crucial lifeline to the hungry in Orange County helps the surrounding community and prevents over a million pounds of produce from being destroyed while those in need face another day without food.
Second Harvest partners with our church to distribute food directly to those in our community. This partnership gives our guests the opportunity to select the food they need most, and organizations like ours avoid a number of issues caused from food storage, refrigeration and transportation. You will be greeted by our staff with a smile, and respected completely throughout the process. There are no restrictions on age, income but we do ask parents to volunteer along with their children.
Our mobile pantry is consistently offered to the Huntington Beach community and surrounding areas on the Fourth (4th) Saturday of each month beginning at 12:30 PM. Guests are encouraged to sign in and reserve a place in line after 11:30 AM. We accept all walks of life and everyone is welcome, no one will leave with an empty bag or sad heart. If you are struggling, need a helping hand, or just want to give back to your community, we provide the opportunity with our monthly food distribution to supplement your food budget or gain the satisfaction of helping others.

Currently our campus is closed for all groups. However, we provide a place for community groups to meet. If you need a space for a group of 50-200 once the CDC guidelines are met, contact the church office for availability and rental rates. Scroll down for pictures of Gisler Hall.
Alcoholics Anonymous (two different groups and times)
One group meets very Wednesday in Room 5 at 2 pm and another every Friday Room #5 at 7pm, and on Saturday mornings.
Overeaters Anonymous (two different groups and times)
One group meets on Tuesdays at 7 pm in Room #5 and second group meets on Saturdays in Room #34 at 8 AM. Click here for a meeting locator.
Gisler Fellowship Hall is available for events from 50 – 200 persons.
